What is Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)?

The Hindi-language game show Kaun Banega Crorepati is shown on Indian television. It is similar to ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’, the official Hindi adaptation. With the exception of the third season, when actor Shah Rukh Khan served as the presenter, it has always been hosted by actor Amitabh Bachchan.

The first three seasons of the show, which broadcast on Star Plus from 2000 to 2007, were commissioned by Sameer Nair’s programming team. It has been broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television since 2010, and BIG Synergy produced it from season 1 through season 10 (under various names throughout various time periods).

Following that, Studio NEXT since season 10 and Tree of Knowledge (Digi TOK) since season 11 are listed as co-producing the show.

The format is the same as other Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Contestants are asked multiple choice questions, and they must choose the right response from four given options. They are also given lifelines, which they help participant if they’re unsure of correct answer.
