Apple Launch Event 2021
In a year Apple usually launches products in a span of 3 to 4 events spread over the year. The series of events is like this:
- a spring event in March
- the Worldwide Developers Conference in June
- September event that’s focused on iPhone and Apple Watches
- October event if there are iPads or Macs expected in the fall.
Let’s quickly take a look at the Apple launch event 2021 that have already taken place in the year 2021.
Apple held the spring event in April 2021. In that event, they launched AirTags, new iMac models, an updated Apple TV 4K, and refreshed versions of the 11 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
The most awaited WWDC event was held in June by Apple. The event witnessed the debut of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, tvOS 15, and macOS 12 Monterey. They did not introduce any new hardware, rather the focus was on the software that is to be released in the fall event expected to be held in October.
Now we will dive in to check all the details about the events that are on the horizon.
In the expected September event Apple might launch the iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7, and Airpods 3. According to MacRumors DigiTimes has said that Apple might launch its products in multiple events in September.
Four models of iPhone 13 same as the size of the iPhone 12 are expected to be launched. 120Hz ProMotion displays, improved Cameras, an A15 chip, and faster 5G; these are the changes that are expected in the new iPhone 13. The biggest tweak could be the reduction in the notch design. Battery life improvements can also be expected.
Apple Watch Series 7
Every year Apple Launches new Watch models, but we can expect an updated design after several years. Smaller bezels and a flat-edged design could be the changes that can be expected in series 7 of the Apple Watch.
Apple is planning to come in the market with a somewhat cheaper version of Airpods, which will look similar to Airpods Pro but without ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). Mass production of the Airpods is set to begin in August and hence we can expect the launch in September alongside other Apple products.
Second Fall Event
After the September Apple launch event 2021, Apple often holds a second fall event mainly focusing on MacBooks or iPads. In the past, these events have taken place in October or November for the products that are not launched in the September event. We can expect MacBook Pro this fall event and it will be a remarkable event as we can expect a separate event.
We can expect a significant overhaul to the MacBook Pro line, since 2016. Apple is preparing to introduce a flat-edged design in its 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models in the third quarter of 2021 during the Apple launch event 2021.
The new MacBook Pro will charge over MagSafe, will have physical keys in place of TouchPad, and will have more ports. It is anticipated to use upgraded M1X Apple silicon chips with a 10-core CPU that features eight high-performance cores and two energy-efficient cores, along with 16-core or 32-core GPU options and support for up to 64GB RAM.
It is contemplated that a new version of the iPad Mini is on its way in the Apple launch event 2021 if rumors are to be believed that the new version could feature a larger 8.5 to the 9-inch display with the same lightning port. If this larger display is to be implemented then it will be implemented through a reduction in bezel size. There are chances that it may use a touch ID button, allowing a full-screen design.
A ninth-generation version of the low-cost iPad with a 10.2-inch display and thinner in width would be quite similar to the now discontinued third-generation iPad Air.
